Drivewyze Responds to Rest Area Closures with Service Designed to Help Drivers Find Safe Parking
As the COVID-19 outbreak continues to sweep the nation, we can’t thank our frontline workers enough for all their hard work to keep essential business and services open so that we all can stay safe during this pandemic. From our nurses to truck drivers, you truly are all heroes – you’re an inspiration. Keep up the good work.
As state governments adjust policies, we’ve seen highway rest areas close and open for truck parking. And with the constant updates, it’s difficult for drivers to keep track when they’re on the road.
Drivers have enough to worry about on the road – finding safe parking when they’re already out risking their well-being shouldn’t be one of them.
To help eliminate the confusion, our good folks over at Drivewyze, a leading provider of weigh station bypass and connected truck services, has been providing rest area “open and closed notifications.” It’s a temporary addition to its Safety Notifications service and will last as long as there are rest area closures.
Drivewyze offers this service in states that have been particularly challenging for drivers to find parking in, such as Pennsylvania, Florida, Virginia, Arizona, among others.
Most recently, Drivewyze added Indiana to its list of states covered. What’s unique about the service in Indiana is that it includes the exact number of parking spot availability. It’s a cutting-edge addition to the rest area notifications service – and a glimpse into what’s on the horizon for the company.
